Senior Warehouse Solution Design Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Logistic Solution Engineer to join our dynamic BeNeLux Engineering Team of 15 persons that supports our BeNeLux Contract Logistics Organisation: more than 30 locations; 850,000+ sqm; 5,000+ employees.

Your Role

You will have a leading role in designing Warehouse Solutions, a large proportion of which are automated, for potential new customers and for the changing business of existing customers. Together with the Business Development and other stakeholders in the organization, you will create attractive commercial proposals based on a strong technical solution that meets the customer’s requirement and brings the value they search. In the implementation phase you ensure that the concept design is translated in a viable implementable detailed design.

Your Responsibilities

  • Analysing,investigating and designing (automated) logistic concepts and processes , basedon the available data and your experience;
  • Leadworkshops with customers and suppliers to ensuring proper alignment oflogistics concepts with all requirements;
  • Performactivity based cost calculations for designed solutions;
  • Developingproposals and presenting the solutions to the (potential) customer,highlighting the unique Selling Point and benefits from the Solution;
  • You’ve seen different kind of WarehouseSolutions in several business environments and you have the conceptual andtechnical knowledge to transform this in the design of new (automated)solutions, always searching for added value;
  • You have in-depth understanding of warehouseconcepts, tools, technologies and can create and formulate complex (automated)designs and layouts. You can mate the benefits of each scenario, creating anROI and business case to substantiate the solution;
  • You are able to make a decision on whichscenario to adopt based on the understanding of the Customer requirements and can explain/communicate this effectively.

    • Your Skills and Experiences

  • You have a master degree in the area oflogistics or equal level by experience and can present 5 years of experiencein operations management and/or engineering;
  • You have a solid experience in activity basedcost calculation and the establishment of rates;
  • You have a self-motivated personality and aresult driven, hands-on mentality.
  • You are a strong communicator with experiencein tackling problems, leading project meetings, delivering strong presentations,both with customers and suppliers (external and internal);
  • You are conceptually and analytically strong
  • You are able to convince and can move well ininternational and intercultural environments.
  • Fluency in oral and written English; Dutch isan asset;
  • You are willing to travel in Be (north) Ne(South) in relation to different projects / customers.
