GENERAL

The position of Software Engineer at Alliance Europe is an interesting and challenging role as a medium level Software Engineer that provides ongoing support and participates in the development of new machines. Assignments are designed to develop professional engineering knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in completing a sequence of related Engineering tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of Software Engineer is a key part of the Engineering Team and is therefore expected to positively live the Vision, Mission and Values at AMSE, ensuring that we always embody our cultural aspirations in all that we do and ensures that we remain committed to the delivery of our Company, Team, and Individual targets.Using prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced Engineer. Performs specific engineering tasks (under the guidance of a more senior Engineer) on existing product lines and new machines.

Tasks may include:

Designing software programs, loading this into machines and testing.Writing and debugging PLC or other higher-language code.Make software improvements and changes on installed machines.Developing required documentation to support machinery.Processes Engineering SW releases, change orders and change requests.Assists in developing test plans to validate equipment and/or component design. Performs machine quality inspections, tests, analyses results, and prepares test reports.Provides production and help desk support and other Engineering-related tasks, as required. Generates documentation to support quality compliance programs.Assists with machine commissioning, field troubleshooting and customer training, as required.Make suggestions for the Implementation of new ideas and methods and continue to seek ways of both improving contribution to the organisation’s goals and enhancing the reputation of the company.Performs all commitments/tasks in a timely and professional manner.Fully engage with our ELEVATE Program as team member, so we can develop a quality Software Engineer function that is fully motivated to achieve best performance to meet the needs of the business.At all-times, comply with all relevant Health and Safety regulations, Company policies, procedures, and instructions.Performs other duties/responsibilities as required.
