Supplier Quality Engineer

Are you a pro-active and driven individual with a passion for quality? Then we are looking forward to welcome you in the position of Supplier Quality Engineer within our Supply Chain organization in Lichtenvoorde.

As our new Supplier Quality Engineer you are driving the quality performance improvement of our supplier base. Using your technical knowledge, analytic thinking and excellent people skills, you’ll work closely with suppliers to build up a profound knowledge of their performance and manufacturing capabilities. You provide functional guidance to the Quality Technician(s) and report to the QHSE Manager.

What you will be doing:

  • Measure and drive quality performance improvement
  • Conduct supplier audits, assessing the quality system and process control, and follow up on open actions
  • Conduct product and process audits, ensuring that product and processes meet the Marel requirements
  • Review and approve documentation like: FMEAs and control plans
  • Cooperate with the Marel organization in the selection of new, and the development of existing suppliers
  • Are the lead contact concerning quality issues. Ensuring effective problem solving in order to prevent re-currence of issues

  • Have a Bachelor‘s Degree in the field of Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Have 5+ years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with various tools, like: Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, 8D, RCA, PPAP, etc.
  • Excellent English skills, both written and verbal
  • In this position you will be requested to travel and work with suppliers both locally and abroad
