
Team Lead - Software Development_NL
**Job Summary**
The Team Lead in Software Development is a hands-on technical leader responsible for guiding a team of software engineers while actively contributing to the design, development, modernization, and maintenance of APRO, PairSoft's financial automation platform for Oracle on-premises customers. The role combines deep Delphi development expertise with technical leadership, people management, Agile delivery, and engineering excellence. It includes driving adoption of AI-assisted development tools, automation, DevSecOps principles, continuous testing and quality engineering to enhance both product functionality and engineering efficiency.
The successful candidate will work closely with Product Management, Architecture and Customer-facing teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions that support APRO's banking integrations, payment processing, invoice automation, reconciliation, and financial workflow capabilities.
**Location**
Bunschoten - Spakenburg, Netherlands
This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence 2--3 days per week.
**Expected base salary range**
Depending on location and experience of candidate: upto EUR 50,000- EUR 55,000/year base pay + 10% variable.
**Responsibilities / Essential Functions**
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence.
* Actively develop, maintain, and enhance Delphi-based applications and services.
* Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and solution planning.
* Drive delivery of roadmap commitments in partnership with Product Management and Development Management.
* Ensure high standards of software quality through code reviews, testing, performance optimization, and secure coding practices.
* Guide the modernization of legacy applications and integrations while maintaining business continuity for existing customers.
* Collaborate with Customer-facing teams to resolve complex customer issues and improve product reliability.
* Promote responsible use of AI-assisted development tools and validate AI-generated code and documentation.
* Participate in recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and career development of team members.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, development processes, and technical standards.
**Required Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
* 7+ years of professional software development experience.
* 5+ years of hands-on Delphi development experience (version 12).
* 2+ years of technical leadership, mentoring, or team leadership experience.
* Strong expertise in PL/SQL and relational database design.
* Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture and software design principles.
* Experience supporting and enhancing large-scale business-critical applications.
* Experience working within Agile software development environments.
* Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience with Oracle Financials Cloud or Oracle E-Business Suite environments.
* Experience within Financial Automation, Banking, Payments, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or ERP domains.
* SQL and Oracle database (12C or higher) programming experience.
* Experience integrating Delphi applications with modern APIs and services.
* Experience leading application modernization initiatives.
* Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar enterprise-approved solutions.
* Experience working with globally distributed teams.
**Work and Physical Requirements**
This position may work from home and/or office environment. Working in an office environment may require prolonged sitting, working in an air-conditioned environment, ability to work with others at various noise levels and ability to lift to 30 pounds or 15 kg.
