Technical Internship (non-thesis): SharePoint Developer in Customer Support Department

Background information

The CS DUV IBCM Standardization & Development (S&D) team is part of the ASML Customer Support Organization and operates within the Deep Ultraviolet (DUV) business segment, as part of the CS DUV organization. Within CS DUV Install Base Cost Management (IBMC) department we’re driving the cost roadmaps within CS DUV. Within IBMC, we as Standardization and Development have the goal of identify, drive, and deploy standards and development initiatives across teams, departments, and field operations.

Within this role you make a difference for people working in operations by digitalizing processes, roles and providing a clear user experience. You lead activities to improve the existing technological architecture to store processes, automate workflow processes and managing data. We do this by setting up and maintaining a strong network with the IT infrastructure and operations via effective communication and collaboration. We standardize and improve by utilizing LEAN, Scrum and PMM.

Within Customer Support you will drive the operational excellence mindset. You will respectfully challenge the status quo and act as a role model for Teamwork, Leadership by example, Lean thinking and act as the change agent to help ASML’s Customer Support sector in the transformation towards an Operational excellent organization.

Your Assignment

During the internship assignment, the selected intern will perform the following tasks:

  • Design and develop SharePoint sites to offer a smooth user experience and meet business requirements.
  • Configure and maintain SharePoint libraries, list as well as add-ins
  • Build, maintain and utilize a network of internal/external stakeholders in the central organization to gather requirements
  • Familiarity with one programming languages as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, C#, .NET, and ASP.
  • Execute incremental improvements by effective task management (Agile philosophy).
  • Explore innovative solutions and practices that uphold the principles of sustainable software development
  • Your Profile

    To be a perfect match for this internship you:

  • Are a bachelor or master student in Data Science, Computer Science, UI/UX design and other related fields.
  • Experience in SharePoint sites development, and use of libraries, list and add-ins.
  • Knowledge in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Affinity with SharePoint and Microsoft tools (PowerBi, PowerApps) is a plus.
  • Understanding in green coding practices and their importance in software development is a plus.
  • Desired personal skills:

  • A proactive and independent nature is expected as you will be asked to define and develop your own work, under guidance and with help of your mentor and the rest of the team.
  • Not afraid to speak up, communicate transparently and be honest.
  • A team player, who enjoys working in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams with the ability to work independently.
  • Shows ownership; commitment in driving for results and able to adopt a hands-on approach.
  • Interest in sustainability or green technologies.
  • Other requirements you need to meet:

  • You are available for minimum 4-5 days/ week, and for a minimum duration of 6 months, starting date in September 2024;
  • You are enrolled at a school for the entire duration of the internship;
  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you ‘re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, please include in your CV/motivation letter willingness to relocate.
