Then join us as a Technical Manager – Digital Manufacturing at Danone! You’ll be part of the Technical Solutions team, within the Global Digital Operations Transformation organization at Danone.

About the Job

You will be accountable for supporting the roll-out and co-driving global standards within the Digital Manufacturing Technical domain. The position would primarily be based in Spain, Netherlands or Poland, other European countries could be considered.

The role requires a candidate to help shape the future of digital manufacturing for Danone’s global manufacturing footprint.

Your main activities will be:

  • Subject matter expert related to equipment connectivity standardization, driving a common approach on how equipment is connected to the digital landscape of Danone.
  • Support the definition, validation and roll-out of a global digital manufacturing architecture, to support the complete end-to-end convergence of Danone’s operations and IT landscape.
  • Definition and validation of global technology standards related to digital manufacturing, ., interfaces, integration concepts and protocol selections.
  • Contribute to the technical design on how the digital application landscape (., MES & Co) will integrate with shopfloor equipment.
  • Co-develop engineering specifications for new equipment to ensure standardization is embedded in new expansion projects.
  • Ramp-up of internal and external teams to adhere to defined standards by executing training and hands-on knowledge transfer methodologies.
  • Creation of technical documentation and how-to guides to ease the roll-out of digital manufacturing tools on a global scope.
  • Interact with key stakeholders, including from the IT, OT and business communities to ensure the selected technologies are adequate according to Danone’s IT and security standards.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Manufacturing team in scouting the market for new digital solutions and support proof of concept and pilot activities.
  • Responsible for the roll-out of standardized shopfloor equipment connectivity in accordance with various digital projects ., Manufacturing Execution System deployment, Digital Manufacturing Acceleration Program and Advanced Scheduling roll-out.

    About You

    You are a team player who can easily connect with cross functional departments and strong in stakeholder management. You have strong communication skills to communicate and influence at all levels and can easily build effective working relationships. For this role it is important to have a proactive attitude, prioritization skills with a strong eye for detail.

    You’ll fit perfectly if:

    • You can understand and lead technical topics, but you also can communicate with non-technical communities.

    • At least 7 years of experience of which 3 years in a position related to Digital Manufacturing

    • At least 3 years’ experience integrating / maintaining MES & SCADA systems to shopfloor equipment.

    • At least 3 years’ experience with PLC Programming ., Siemens S7/TIA

    • Experienced with technologies such as MQTT, OPC-UA, REST API, SQL Databases, Docker and .NET programming.

    • Willingness to travel globally, up to 30%, mostly one or two weeks at a time.

    • Willing to be hands-on and continuously learn new technologies.

    • English mandatory, French beneficial
