JOB PURPOSE

As part of Liberty Global’s Technology Development team the role of Technical Project Manager is key leadership role responsible for coordinating work of development teams in intaking requirements, developing and ensuring quality delivery of various features across all Go To Market teams and therefore should ensure alignments in our overall delivery and operating model by working closely with peers within Technology.

This individual will be the Go to Entertainment Development contact for our Products and Architecture organization for both in flight product development, build, delivery and releases and our overall technology strategy to support growth and customer proposition plans around the Entertainment portfolio.

This role will have big influence on technology and development activities across platform teams and must encourage and empower in a way that uses the collective talent across all resources and align individuals around the Customer Value Proposition.

This role responsible for developing entertainment platform through their technology delivery and operations lifecycle ensuring timely delivery of technically ready features that can launch on various countries across Liberty Global's footprint.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • As Entertainment deployment Subject Matter Expert supervise development team organization to secure timely and quality feature results within committed timelines across Cloud Micro Services, Set-Top-Box software, Apps and Platform technologies towards multiple LG’s markets
  • Coach Technology Delivery team members on development and delivery process and integration of TV/Mobile Apps, Backoffice, Video CPE and Streaming components
  • Track Product and Architecture readiness through the delivery workflow
  • Coordinate feature integration activities within development and integration organization and collaborate closely with other teams to secure product results
  • Attend or coordinate the relevant meetings to oversee deployment activities
  • Support and stimulate analysis and indicate problem solution for platform related to technical integration
  • Rationalize feature delivery scope to fit in requested timeline
  • Act as the principal technical interface and subject matter between LG Product / Architecture teams and development and delivery teams and relevant vendors

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Experience in project coordination and good understanding of project planning processes, techniques, and methodology, especially in a multi-functional and commercial environment.
  • Experience in from entertainment sector (TV/Mobile Apps, Micro Services, Video CPE devices or Streaming)
  • Experience within TV/Mobile Apps development with cross platform technology targeting Android, iOS, Tizen OS, and other OS
  • Deep understanding of entertainment technology & ecosystem, in particular service platforms (HW and SW), user interfaces, Apps and media acquisition/management, processing, and distribution, end-to-end content protection and security
  • Solid grounding in the principles and practices of data privacy and information security.
  • Shown experience in inspiring change and process improvement initiatives that have benefitted the company and its customers
  • Experienced with product delivery and project life cycles
  • Experienced with issue/development tracking products like Atlassian Jira
  • Experienced with online documentation products like Confluence Wiki
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and serverless computing

  • Ability to be encouraging, consultative and collaborative and to work effectively across national boundaries
  • Ability to work independently as well as within teams

PREFERRED EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree level or equivalent in a STEM subject
  • Certification in one of the project management methodologies is a plus
