WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As a Technical Service Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in installing and servicing our SNSPD systems, both remotely and on-site at customer locations globally. Our customized systems are designed to meet our clients' diverse needs, catering to scientific and industrial research laboratories worldwide. 

Your responsibilities will include understanding our technology, products, and the specific applications of our customers. Effective communication is key, as you engage with users, serving as a brand ambassador for Single Quantum. You will gather valuable feedback during installations, contributing to our ongoing quest for service excellence and enhancing the overall customer experience and service quality. Additionally, you will provide troubleshooting and technical support, whether remotely or in person, ensuring seamless operation for our valued customers.
Lastly, as part of our vibrant team, you will be immediately be a part of our welcoming and collaborative work environment, fostering a culture of innovation and teamwork.

Your main tasks include: 

  • Installation and Servicing: Take charge of installing and servicing SNSPD systems, both remotely and on-site at customer locations globally, ensuring seamless operation and customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with scientific and industrial research laboratories worldwide, understanding their specific needs and effectively communicating the value of our technology and products.
  • Feedback Gathering: Gather valuable feedback during installations to continually improve service quality and contribute to the enhancement of our products and offerings.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams to enhance the overall customer experience, contribute to ongoing innovation, and ensure effective problem-solving and support for customers.
  • Technical Support: Provide troubleshooting and technical support to customers, addressing any issues remotely or in person to maintain smooth operation of SNSPD systems.
  • Project Management: Efficiently handle installations and service assignments, demonstrating strong project management skills to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality service.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with advancements in quantum technology, fiber optics, and related fields, ensuring a deep understanding of our products and their applications.

These responsibilities encompass various aspects of the role, including technical expertise, communication skills, customer engagement, collaboration, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Your profile and requirements

We are looking for someone who...

  • is a proactive, technically savvy individual
  • holds a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in physics or engineering.
  • has exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • has full professional proficiency in English.
  • is willing to travel as required to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • has a strong project management skills to handle installations and service assignments efficiently.

The following working experiences are a plus:

  • Familiarity with fiber optics.
  • Experience in quantum optics or cryogenics and vacuum systems.
