About the role

We are looking for a Truck Engineer.

 The R&D department plans the European sustainable product and technology roadmap and is committed to developing an advanced range of all-electric buses to meet the needs of the current and future European public transport markets. Working with leading European suppliers, the R&D department continuously enhances design and engineering capabilities to achieve superior product performance and quality.

The R&D team is looking for a truck engineer to develop and plan strategic products for pure electric trucks that meet the needs of the European market and users

Your key responsibilities are:

• Comprehensively benchmark the technical features and functions of European competing trucks, and plan and research BYD’s new truck products and technologies.
• Study new regulations, combine standards, and formulate implementation standards for truck products.
• Study customer needs and develop technical solutions that satisfy customers
• Study BYD Trucks’ localized product development plan in Europe.
• Attend design reviews to present design ideas and to discuss and critique alternative design solutions.
• Work in an international team of multidisciplinary engineers.
• Undertake continuous training and development.
• Encourage technological innovation and create more product highlights.

Required skills, qualifications and experience:




• Bachelor/HBO degree in Vehicle Engineering or similar major.
• 2 years of vehicle engineering experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Very clear and systematic thinking that demonstrates strong judgment and problem-solving competencies;
• Excellent organization skills and able to work well in a team setting.
• Willing to travel around EU
• Driver license (EU）
• You have a creative mind and strong analytical skills.
• Understanding of legislation and standards
