Destinus is a leading innovator in aerospace technology, dedicated to advancing the future of flight systems. We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to lead our new production team in Hengelo, focusing on the manufacturing of our novel turbojet flight vehicle.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated UAV Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems. This role requires expertise in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing principles to ensure the efficient production of high-quality UAVs.

Tasks

  • Participate in design reviews and analises product design for the best method of manufacture.
  • Insure that Production has accurate and detailed information on specificaions to produce the part.
  • Establish the course of action to acomplish deployment and completion of projects.
  • Design and develop layouts manufacturing processes or UAV components, assemblies, and systems ensuring productivity, quality of the products and operational safety.
  • Optimize production workflows to improve efficiency, throughput, and yield.
  • Responsible for the design and test of tooling, gauges and equipment and supports the purchase and installation of new equipment.
  • Provide technical support to production personnel and troubleshoot manufacturing issues as needed.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, procedures, and specifications.
  • Coordinate manufacturing engineering activities with other production sites and company departments.
  • Coordinate introduction of product modifications with design engineers.
  • Ensures lessons learned are analysed and documented.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry certifications related to UAV manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, aerospace engineering or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (4-8 years) in UAV engineering and/or manufacturing or its components, with strong understanding of quality control, maintenance and ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of helth & safety standards, environment regulations, regulatory compliance, and ethical considerations associated with aerial military vehicles.
  • English will be your working language. Other languages will be highly valuated
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and complex manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to comprehensively divulge technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Cross functional working ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external teams.
  • Domestic and International travels are required
  • Security clearance may be required depending on the nature of the projects
