The position
Reporting into the Director Operations Steriles Packaging you will be responsible for facilitating Value Stream Design (VSD) in the Integrated Process Team (IPT) and driving the right improvements toward the vision. You will review, realize, and monitor the IPT improvements (Hoshin, Lean Six Sigma, training), profit plan set up incl. headcount / productivity improvement plan/ production KPI’s, projects business case plans, people change management processes which will need thorough data analysis. You will set standards within the IPT and initiate and contribute to the implementation of process improvements.

IPT (Integrated Process Team) Steriles Packaging is responsible for all operational activities related to secondary and tertiary packaging of sterile injection fluids. These fluids are used in the health domains of fertility, anesthetics and oncology and are delivered to over more than 100 countries. IPT Steriles Packaging has both automatic and manual labelling and packaging lines. The IPT operations works in a 3-shift and has approximately 100 FTE. The support staff of the IPT, including this role, works in a day job.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate and create a tangible/ measurable 3-5 years VSD for the IPT and drive the change.
- Act as a lean promotor. Realize and monitor the implementation of the IPT improvement initiatives using the different lean methodologies and tools.
- Facilitate the process to define and follow up the key IPT priorities (Hoshin Kanri). Involved in set-up, review and monitoring of the business case documents set-up for these priorities and have the focus on financial and production impact.
- Set-up/ facilitate the IPT profit plan process (headcount, performance, yield, productivity portfolio).
- Analyze and detect process variation through performance indicators e.g., OA, Yield, Deviations, etc. together with other disciplines in the IPT.
- Lead and/or assist in Root Cause Investigations and identify improvements as needed.
- Work closely with colleagues within IPT, Lean Six Sigma team and cross IPT to share best practices, align strategy, and design and implement site standards.
- Be involved in, facilitate, or lead IPT projects.
- Facilitator for IPT meetings (daily, staff and departmental, etc.).
Required Education, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration, Engineering or other related background.
- At least 3-5 years of business and project management experience, preferably in a Lean manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a regulated industry, like the pharmaceutical, food, automotive or comparable industry.
- Experience with data analysis and processing in different systems (Excel, etc.) and different fields (operations, financial).
- Strong focus on people engagement and people change management who can switch easily between different roles and functions.
- Persuasive, stress resistant and able to influence stakeholders.
- Good prioritizing skills, able to make decisions in case of (time) pressure.
- Strong focus on safety, quality/compliance and customers.
- Innovative abilities, strong drive to improve.
- Team player, flexible and willing to go the extra mile.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills
- Preferably certified black belt.
- Experience with SAP.
