Electrical Design Engineer
Job Description
For our office in Nootdorp, we are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer. In this position you will be designing new cabinets and installations for power converters or motor controls. Each product has its own requirements and challenges. This can be for small systems that need only 50W or less. However, it can also be for larger systems that require 150kW or more.
You develop new geotechnical equipment and sensors in collaboration with software engineers, mechanical engineers, and internal clients. These innovative techniques are used both onshore and offshore across the world to collect the data for our clients even more efficient, accurate and sustainable.
You work in a small and dedicated team focussed on electronics design and electrical power systems. This position is open for both experienced and beginning talent.
Responsibilities
You define design requirements together with stakeholders and select components or define which components need to be designed or outsourced;
You create electrical drawings or schematics for cabinets, racks, cables, or installations;
In some cases, you might be involved in the electronics design;
Where necessary, you support production and construction;
You implement PLC software and test and debug new installations.
Your track record
You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering;
You have experience with designing control cabinets, power converters and motor control;
You are familiar with norms for electrical safety and EMC;
You have excellent command of the English language;
Experienced with PLC software is an advantage;
Experience with wiring diagram is an advantage.
