Role Overview:
We are seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join our team at the Global Operations Group based in Rotterdam, Netherlands. As an Electrical Project Engineer, you provide engineering support, design and implementation of machine control systems to support projects for our EMEA manufacturing facilities.

Modify and improve control systems of existing and new equipment, components, parts to enhance or improve drum making process. Responsibilities include design (concept, calculations, detail design), material and equipment specification and ordering, equipment debugging and testing and engineering support at implementation. Typical Accountabilities:
•Design and develop machine and line control systems in response to new prodcts or manufacturing process requirements as well as improve or modify existing equipment or processes.
•Project study, calculations and concept and detail design and documentation of machine and line control systems.
•Provide technical guidance and support for the Greif drum manufacturing facilties on machine and process control systems.
•Provide project co-ordination and assist with installation and troubleshooting as required.
•Maintain complete and accurate documentation in accordance with OSG proedures and CE machine directive.
•Monitor and maintain current engineering knowledge in developing technoloies and practices.
•Extensive travel throughout EMEA (approximately 50%)

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in design of machine control systems - hardware and software. Project scope ranging from single machine to production line integration.
• Strong computer skills, PLC and HMI programming knowledge and project-oranization skills.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Systems and how to apply this in own work area ( SMED, RCPS).
• Good knowledge of English language
• Documentation of design and reporting
• Second (or 3rd) language to work with customers and vendors and interpret information a plus.
• Hands-on experience – hardware and software of machine control systems.
