Hi! We are Funxtion, a digital fitness experience company. We provide gyms with the tools to stay relevant in this fast-paced, ever-changing digital landscape. We do this by offering them energising content and better delivery systems (e.g. apps, portals) so their members can train with them anytime, anywhere. We help some of the largest and best-known companies in the world (such as Fitness First, Goodlife and Anytime Fitness).

But what you really do:

You work in the close-knit development team of Funxtion, and you are invaluable. You ensure the alignment of our web design and user experience requirements for our portal or app, which comes easily to you because you’re all about building awesome solutions for our users. You bridge the gap between graphic design and technical implementation, translating UI/UX design wireframes to actual code while enhancing our products for maximum speed and scalability. You work closely with our designer team, product owner and backend team, validating input before submitting it to your relevant peers, so everything runs like a well-oiled machine. The beauty of your job at Funxtion is that you get to work on many different aspects. You’re allowed to play with your creativity and predominantly own your own lane, but you can also jump into a couple more if you want.

In addition, you’re the master of:

• Developing features to enhance our user experience, ensuring this determines your design choices
• Deciding or informing on the structure and design of our web page
• Building reusable code for future use - we like efficiency here at Funxtion
• Utilising a variety of markup languages to write webpages
• Maintaining brand consistency throughout the design

Besides being a crafty coder, you:

• Know how to work with Angular 12
• Have a few years of experience in a similar role and a degree in computer science or a related field
• Possess proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Javascript as well as experience with responsive and adaptive design
• Are proficient in code visioning tools
• Are living in the Amsterdam area or willing to relocate 
• Can work independently with minimal supervision while achieving benchmarks
• Are fluent in English 
• Bonus points if you have experience with Ionic 5
