We are looking for a Junior Recipe Developer to join our young and passionate Green Chef team in Amsterdam. As a member of the Recipe Development team, you will be responsible for creating and compiling recipes for the Green Chef box in the Netherlands.

  This is how you’ll make an impact

  • Developing new healthy recipes, taking into account different diets, the season, variety, nutritional values, cooking convenience, and the food culture.
  • Testing the meals in our kitchen and make necessary adjustments based on weekly customer feedback to improve our recipes continually.
  • Elaborating on the recipes, you will collaborate with recipe editors and translators on the information on the recipe cards.
  • Liaising with the procurement team about current and new ingredients that we need for the recipes.

    • These are the ingredients you’ll bring to the team

  • You are familiar with almost every diet, from Keto to Vegan. 
  • You are an experienced dietitian with either a BS or MS in Food and Dietetics or equivalent practical experience.
  • You do not follow a specific diet so that you can develop, cook, taste and review recipes of any dietary preference (must).
  • You have a love for food, cooking, and beautiful ingredients.
  • Developing new recipes comes naturally to you.
  • You are creative and skilled at making your recipes comprehensible to our customers.
  • You like nothing more than spending a day in the kitchen with a nutritional meal on the table as the result. 
  • You are data-driven. The customer is always the focus of your work.
  • You have experience with Excel/Google Sheets.
  • You are fluent in both written and spoken English, knowledge of Dutch is a plus.

    • (Please note that you will spend a maximum of one to two days a week in the kitchen, while the rest of your working days will be dedicated to devising and developing recipes and liaising with our procurement and production teams.)
