As a Purchasing Intern at Smith, you'll immerse yourself in a hands-on learning experience that will bridge the gap between theory and practical application. Under the guidance of experienced procurement professionals, you'll gain a comprehensive understanding of the semiconductor procurement landscape, from sourcing and negotiating to managing supplier relationships and optimizing supply chain operations through our in-house CRM system.

Tasks

Throughout your 3-month internship, you'll gain valuable exposure to the intricacies of semiconductor procurement, including:

Assisting in sourcing and negotiating electronic components with suppliers, gaining insights into market trends and pricing strategies using our CRM system

• Participating in supply chain management activities, understanding the flow of commodities, and optimizing inventory levels.
• Conducting market research and analysis, expanding your knowledge of semiconductor industry trends and opportunities.
• Collaborating across departments such as Sales, Accounting, and Operations to foster transformative partnerships, groundbreaking achievements, and unparalleled customer experiences.

Requirements

We are seeking for the next generation of strategic buyers:

• Completing a bachelor's degree in a related field (Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Engineering)
• Entrepreneurial spirit with a demonstrated track record of achievement
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced working environment
• Multilingual talents can flex your language skills and make a global impact. English and any other European languages are welcomed!
