IT & Data Business Controller

Join our team as a IT & Data Business COntroller ! In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of OPEX and CAPEX budgets, leading a team that provides critical back-office support for the Benelux IT & Data team and managing the financial execution of the Benelux IT & Data project portfolio. In this process, you will strive for continuous improvements and will keep track of the Danone financial and program/project management guidelines, documentation and tools.

About the Job

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets for the Benelux IT & Data team.
  • Prepare accurate financial forecasts, conduct variance analysis including risks and opportunities, and provide insights and advice to support decision-making.
  • Lead month-end closing processes and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Team Leadership:

  • Manage a team responsible for back-office activities, including PO creation, GR creation, and vendor master data management.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and contribute to professional development plans for team members.
  • Process Improvement:

  • Identify inefficiencies in financial and operational processes and propose innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement process improvements, ensuring streamlined workflows and adherence to best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance and Governance function.
  • Decision Support:

  • Provide timely and reliable financial information to support management in strategic decision making.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide financial insights that contribute to informed decision-making.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • About You

    About you

    You are a strong financial business partner with strong program management skills and able to provide the strategic context. You have strong communication skills, and you are always looking for improvement. The area of IT & Data has your interest, you are eager to learn. You can deal with complex situations, and you know how to maintain structure in a dynamic, challenging and sometimes hectic environment.

    Furthermore, you have:

  • A Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Controlling or a related area.
  • Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Great people management skills, able to inspire and lead.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in process improvement and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills in English with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience in working with Shared Services functions is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAP and its relevant functionalities.
