Hiire is helping Piggy, a Dutch company, hire a Lead Full Stack Engineer to join their team and help them improve their product. The goal is to continue to develop the product while guiding and coaching the engineers in their growth.

Who we are:

Piggy is one of the fastest-growing SaaS scale-ups in the Netherlands – with offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and the UK – and is a European market leader for customer and employee loyalty software. We are looking for a Lead Full Stack Engineer who wants to help us take our product suite to the next level.

Your team:

Our product team consists of a tightly knit group of around fifteen highly motivated, intelligent, and diverse developers and UX designers. Most days, we work from our office in Maarssen (soon to be moved to Amsterdam), as we like to work together – and this enables us to have drinks after work (not limited to Fridays) – but remote working is an option as well.

We work in two-week sprints in an adapted, less intensive form of scrum, which works well for us.

Your mission:

As a Fullstack Engineer you will be mentoring, and managing other developers while working on building innovative, scalable solutions for a platform that handles many loyalty - and gift card transactions per second for thousands of companies all over the world (12 countries and counting. The product suite that you will be improving consists of:

• Our website
• Our loyalty solution
• Our gift card and prepaid solutions
• Our emailing tool
• Our automation tool
• Whatever else you come up with

Who you are:

• A WO/university thinking level, with strong analytical skills
• You have at least 6 years of working experience as a Full Stack Developer
• Experienced with (some of the following): React, TypeScript, Webpack
• You have strong experience with PHP and Laravel
• Experienced with Doctrine, MySQL, Kubernetes, Docker, Google Cloud Platform
• A leader who has experience in coaching teammates, managing developers, and communicating with stakeholders from various departments
• A flexible team player, who likes to solve problems and gets motivated by building great products and features
• You have an excellent command of English and preferably Dutch, both written and spoken
