Medior Software Developer

The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to directly work on our software development and will be able to build, adapt, and modify the software of our radar products. To put it in simple terms, they will develop mind blowing radar tech! Their work will be crucial as equipping our radars with the best performing software also creates a better functioning product to our customers, and increases safety too.
Not only that, but they will be part of an amazing growing and agile Software Development Team. They will report to the Manager Software Development, who is there to support and guide them.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C++ code
Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
Working with other departments on technical issues including software system design and maintenance.
Analyzing information to recommend and plan the installation of new systems or modifications of an existing system.
Consulting with engineering staff to evaluate software hardware interfaces and develop specifications and performance requirements.
Conferring with Product Owner to obtain information on limitations or capabilities.
Give direction to system testing and validation procedures.
Give direction to software programming and documentation development.
Bachelor or a Master Degree in Software Engineering, Informatics, Computer Science or equivalent.
A minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a C++ software developer.
Current knowledge of C++ standards and specifications.
Extensive experience in developing and deploying software on Linux.
Knowledge of multithreaded code.
Knowledge of real-time environments.
Knowledge of the standard library, STL and Qt.
Knowledge of SQL, JSON, XML and familiarity with JavaScript/Typescript.
Familiarity with embedded systems design, low-level hardware interactions.
Ability to develop unit testing of code components or complete applications
Understanding of software development tools such as Git/Bitbucket, Jira and Qt creator
Strong understanding of the software development life-cycle and familiarity with continuous integration (Jenkins).
Knowledge of development methodologies like Agile/Scrum.
Superb analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good collaboration and communication skills.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Good communication skills in English, and it would be great if you speak Dutch as well.
Live in The Netherlands, within commuting distance from The Hague.
