Project Engineer

We are now looking for a Project Engineer to join our team and who will assist us in making a valuable difference in the century to come. We ensure that compressors continue to operate for years to come through maintenance plans, supply of OEM parts, service calls and equipment modifications to today's technology or changed operating conditions and repairs. The Project Engineer supports the sales and preparation of the Shop orders and Field projects so that they can be executed correctly and in a timely manner and in accordance with the customer requirements.
What needs to be done?
Responsible for technical and engineering aspects of the Field Service jobs in combination with the Service Center jobs. Plan, schedule, organize, outsource and discuss with the customer the repair solutions in terms of lead-time, quality and prices;
Supports the sales department in providing correct information for the customer's RFQ and thinks along on possible solutions to be delivered. Participates in customer visits;
Supports operational departments by e.g. making technical scopes and advising on complex problems;
Technical review of the reports made by our Service Technicians, advises on repair solutions to achieve the best possible result;
Provide customers with expert-level advice to achieve maximum value for the customer;
Design products according to the set requirements (including dimensions, tolerances) based on legal requirements and customer needs;
Controls quality in terms of technical repairs and solutions, as well in our own Service Centre as at our subcontractors;
Contribute to the safety and safety awareness, identify and report unsafe situations;
Travel to customer site (10%).
What do you need to bring?
Relevant Bachelor degree in Engineering;
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in working on reciprocating compressors, preferably in a similar position;
English language skills;
Dutch language skills (written and verbal) is preferable;
Strong understanding of customer needs and strong customer focus;
Excellent communication skills;
Diligent and trustworthy;
Strong organizational and analytical skills;
Flexible and results oriented;
Problem solving skills.
