Senior Go Platform Developer

We're constructing Bloomreach Discovery's next-gen Engineering Platform, designed for the various engineering teams powering our flagship product. Leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as Go, Kubernetes, Istio/Envoy, Terraform, AWS, and GCP, we're crafting an exceptional platform. Responsibilities

You'll be responsible for developing and managing our upcoming platform, Garuda. Built using Terraform and Go, Garuda runs on Kubernetes and AWS. It offers teams isolated workspaces for swift feedback on their CI pipelines. Additionally, Garuda handles networking complexities like service mesh and Kubernetes operations, allowing teams to concentrate on feature development. Your daily tasks will involve working with Kubernetes, Go, AWS, agile methodologies, scalability, real-time monitoring, open-source tools, automation, gitops, and CI/CD. Joining a committed team, you'll shoulder a diverse range of responsibilities to support Bloomreach, its clients, and partners.

Must haves

  • A university degree (preferably in Computer Science or a related field of study)
  • Extensive experience in programming platform and/or infrastructure level software products in Go, Java or C++
  • Cloud (programming) experience with technologies/services like Kubernetes, Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform
  • Understanding of networking, architecture and core web technologies like load balancing, API gateway, web servers, HTTP, CDN, DNS and SQL/NoSQL
  • Some understanding of and experience administering Linux
  • Nice to have

  • Data platform engineering experience (Airflow, Kubeflow, Solr, Redshift, BigQuery)
  • Programming experience with Kubernetes (Go client, CRD, Controller)
  • AWS product experience (ELB, EBS, RDS, S3, Route53, AMI users, etc)
  • Experience with running Kubernetes in production
  • Experience with Terraform, Helm, Helmfile
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, configuration (Sysdig, Prometheus, Grafana, Filebeat, Logstash)
