Senior Reporting Analyst (ENG)

The Financial Accounting team is part of Finance and Operations and reports to the Chief Financial Officer. The Financial Accounting team is responsible for the consolidated financial accounting and reporting of the client and its subsidiaries and affiliated companies. The team is split into two sub-teams GL Accounting/Controlling and Reporting/Financial Planning & Analysis. It is linked to the Accounts Payable team.The main activities that the Reporting/FP&A team performs are as follows:

  • Validating information and supporting documentation, originating out of all offices, in accordance with relevant accounting standards (Dutch GAAP, US GAAP, HK GAAP)
  • Delivering analyses and reports ad-hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annually
  • Managing the process of yearly budgets and forecasts for the management board
  • Ensuring efficiency and control of processes to SOX and AIFMD compliance
  • Managing the auditing and internal and Sox control process

The team works closely with the Investment Accounting team, the Treasury team, the Portfolio & Risk Analysis team and the Legal & Tax team to constantly shape, design, and improve the processes and controls wherever needed.

The responsibilities of the senior reporting analyst in the team will grow over time and include a mix both financial reporting and financial planning skills.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Good understanding of financial figures to review and maintain completeness and accuracy of PL and BS for responsible locations.
  • Participate in audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial statements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with respective GAAP standards.
  • Participate in the preparation of tax, regulatory and other ad-hoc reports.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and technological advancements in reporting tools.
  • Making recommendations regarding process and efficiency improvements, mainly focusing on systems/tools.

  • Master's degree in accounting or finance required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in accounting, reporting and planning is required.
  • Self-motivated and able to take ownership and work independently in a structured way.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a part of a team.
  • Successfully managed multiple responsibilities under deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal skills and English written and oral (communication) skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must. Experience with data visualization tools and Macros is a plus.
