Functieomschrijving

As a Senior Technician Lab Automation you willcontribute to the exploration and implementation of state of theart robotics, liquid handling and other automated systems forlaboratory processes.

• You will besupporting the implementation of automated systems in combinationwith lab applications specialized for the protein supply laboratoryprocesses that are critical for the researchorganization
• With your understanding ofautomation of biochemical characterization and/or proteinpurification technologies processes you are responsible forfit-for-purpose script writing for robotics and data processing inclose collaboration with the users
• You willexecute and ensure the maintenance of various business criticallaboratory equipment/robotics
• You contributeto the implementation of (GxP) software applications and systemswhen there is a need to integrate with automated solutions, inclose collaboration with the relevant departments
• You will provide proper documentation of the automatedsolutions by writing applicable procedures as well asadministration in lab notebooks and reports
• You will train and guide the lab users to guarantee theimplementation and the correct use of the automated solutionswithin the organizatio
• You will have contactwith vendors to support the design, implementation, maintenance andplanning of daily operations of various business criticallaboratory equipment/robotics          

Functie-eisen

Forthe position of a Senior Technician Lab Automation we are lookingfor a bachelor or master candidate with at least 2 years laboratoryexperience
PhD candidates are not consideredfor this position

• Haveknowledge of- and work experience in liquid handling and/orrobotics in a life science setting
• Experiencedin programming and scripting (such as, VB(A), VB.NET, Python orother coding languages)
• You have high interestor experience with biobanking and/or automated sample storagesystems and procedures
• You have interest inlab information management systems and databases (LIMS, ELNetc.)
• You have a high interest in high-endlaboratory automation technologies and innovations, and you striveto expand your knowledge
• You are interested inadministration and change management of complex automatedlaboratory systems with multiple users
• Youtake the initiative, enjoy working in a team and inspire otherswith your enthusiasm
