We recognize for complex landscapes with multiple infra & service components, that it requires dedicated effort to understand the impact of all this on software code, or an application – and vice versa. One of our customer's key software programs consists of a large and complex landscape consisting of several components. To predict and optimize software behavior, it is important to monitor, analyze, understand at the application, OS and network stack, and have the ability to debug the application. To achieve this, it is expected that the applicant possess skills to analyze the application’s performance, establish measurements within the application and with the underlying technical landscape, and push forward optimizations. These optimizations could be delivered directly, or through other teams. This role requires deep understanding of the various applications and technical landscape that make up this solution. The role will interact heavily with software engineers and with infrastructure engineers. Technical Qualifications expected BSc or higher degree in computer engineering or computer science 7 -10 + years of experience with at least one object-oriented language (C#) and scripting language (PowerShell, Unix shell scripting) Solid understanding of Systems networking and fundamental concepts, and experience with tooling in troubleshooting them. Any certifications on networking (e.g. CCNA) would be a bonus Solid understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems – proven experience required. Certifications (e.g. RHCE) would be a bonus Solid understanding of Windows operating system internals Proven Experience with MongoDB, SQL Server & PostgreSQL is a must Experience with continuous deployment concepts, and with building pipelines that deploy and customize complex software. Softer skills We are seeking a professional i.e. limited hand-holding Organizational skills are required. Analytical skills are required, for non-biased and objective assessments and experimentation. Strong communication skills with diverse set of stakeholders within the program, and with the operations engineering teams Multi-tasking is an expectation. Calm, steady and focus under pressure.
