Specialized Support Engineer

ING Private Cloud is looking for an Specialized Support Engineer who will be part of the Specialized Service Support team. You will maintain the day-to-day effective service support solutions in the ING Private Cloud. You will engage and establish constant contact with the different areas providing within IPC in the mission of elevating our service support model.

Roles and responsibilities

The Specialized Support Engineer Cloud & Infrastructure main responsibility is to assure that incidents are processed in a timely & effective way. The incidents will be assigned by the Incident Manager depending of the area of expertise of each engineer and or with indication of what action should be taken for an immediate action to resolution.

Whether an escalation, process’ bottle neck, or incident backlog, requires other countermeasures, the Service Support Engineer will then engage in solving it with the collaboration of his team members and reach and engagement if necessary with the PO’s and or IPC 2nd Line Support.

  • Practical knowledge in ITIL 4 practices [Incident, Problem, Knowledge, Change].

  • Experience working on ITIL based Service Desk as Front Office agent and / or Back Office agent is highly appreciated

  • Have strong understanding of the internal workings of VMWare products preferably VMWare certified

  • Are proficient in SRE methodologies, and tooling like OTEL, pipelines, Azure DevOps,

  • Good understanding of complex infrastructure (technical and organizational)

  • Proven Linux experience, other OS's are a pre (HPNSK,ZO/s,Windows)

  • Scripting experience with Bash, Python

  • Familiar with working in organizations that have a focus on Risk & Compliancy.

  • Able to install and configure an application on Linux

  • Open minded, eager to learn, high in energy, team player

  • A 'take it on an make it happen'" mentality

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Information Technology)

  • have demonstrable track record of the above, preferably 3+ years in similar environments

  • Excellent verbal and writing skills in English

  • Good to have:

  • You understand CI/CD concepts & methodology and have experience with modern pipelines

  • Exposure to working in multi-Cloud environments

  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such Ansible

  • Basic understanding of batches and its components

  • ITIL certification is a plus

  • Previous experience in service transformation programs

  • Project management and collaboration capabilities
