Within the Client Growth Delivered (CGD) department, you are primarily responsible for generating insights that help IRI's manufacturer clients achieve growth. Using a clear storyboard and the SOLV model, you will provide a complete analysis for our clients. You will have access to all retail data and trends from the FMCG market. Together with the Consultant you will interpret the results in order to translate them into strategic recommendations, as well as action-oriented advice. The final presentation will be given by you to the client.

As Strategic Insights Analyst you are also responsible for the development of shopper projects for your own clients. You are an important link in the internal client team and ensure coordination of client projects. Depending on your expertise, you take part in a project group where necessary or you are project leader. You report to the CGD + Retail Manager.

Main responsibilities

  • Together with the consultants maintain the contact and relationship with the customer
  • Carrying out numerical analyses and drawing up and testing hypotheses with the aim of identifying growth opportunities for the client, based on client questions, but also proactively.
  • Independently present results to the client.
  • Support the consultant in making research proposals.
  • Responsible for formulating specifications for a given project and determining expected lead time.
  • Responsible for obtaining retailer approvals for projects.
  • Thinking along about possible improvements in process, degree of automation etc. and where necessary implementing this through a project group
  • Coaching of fellow work students and interns.
  • Desired skills and experience

  • HBO/University education (preferably commercial and/or marketing)
    Analytical ability
  • Able to convert analyses into insights and actions
  • Knowledge of the FMCG and/or retail market
  • Knowledge of (Trade)Marketing and Sales
  • Result-oriented

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Excellent command of MS-office: especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of SAS or other statistical package is a plus
  • + years experience in FMCG
