Supply Chain | Business Analytics (Graduation) Internship: Cost reduction

Introduction

Are you a bachelor or master student in the field of Supply Chain Management or Business Analytics? Are you interested in the cross-section between technology and business considerations? If yes, this assignment could be interesting for you!

Background information

The Lifecycle Cost and Value Engineering group within the Performance & Integration EUV department focusses on Cost of Goods Management of our EUV machines from early design phase to volume phase. We strive to make cost a consciously chosen decision parameter. We will steer the design towards optimized profitability, either by improving the value of our products for our customers and/or by reducing its cost. We provide project teams the knowledge, methods, tools and support to take-up their responsibility to manage cost proactively.

Your assignment

During this assignment, you will create an inventory of official (TPD-199) and unofficial prescribed parts and their costs. You will perform analysis to identify most problematic functions, analyze stakeholders' motivation to prescribe parts and develop a strategy how cost savings can be achieved. 

The assignment can be tweaked according to your profile and interests.

Your profile

To be the perfect match for this internship, you:

  • Are a bachelor/HBO or master student Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics or something related;

  • Have a basic understanding of sourcing and procurement processes;

  • Have great communication / stakeholder management / influencing skills;

  • Have the ability to work with large quantities of data;

  • Have a clear motivation to work on this assignment, therefore, a cover letter is required;

  • Are fluent in English, both written and verbal.

  • This assignment is suitable for a bachelor/HBO student looking for a graduation project or a master student looking for either an apprentice internship or graduation project. You should be available for minimum 5 months, for 4 to 5 days per week (4 days on-site). The start date is as of September 2024.
