Position:

Cloud Native Engineer

As a Cloud Native Engineer at the Utrecht location, you play a crucial role in supporting developers in building and maintaining cloud-native applications on AKS clusters. You ensure the AKS platform remains up-to-date, secure, and optimally functional, while staying abreast of technological advancements and sharing relevant knowledge with colleagues and management. You collaborate closely with the Azure platform engineer and advise on platform setup and management within a complex environment, facilitating application development, analysis, coordination, execution, and process guidance.

Responsibilities:

• Support developers in building and maintaining cloud-native apps on AKS clusters.
• Ensure the security and optimal functioning of the AKS platform.
• Stay updated on technological advancements and share relevant knowledge with colleagues and management.
• Collaborate with Azure platform engineers and advise on platform setup and management.
• Facilitate application development, analysis, coordination, execution, and process guidance.

Requirements:

• Completed HBO or WO degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in software and API design, large codebases, and robust software development.
• Experience with software applications in cloud environments and their management.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, AKS, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, YAML, Terraform, Bash/Linux, IT networks, Git, cloud/cybersecurity, and DevOps tools/automation. Certification in AZ-104 (Azure Administrator), AZ-305 (Azure infrastructure solutions), AZ-500 (Azure security technologies) is advantageous.
