Director of Beverage & Food  available.

Renaissance Amsterdam is a lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Amsterdam. Soon fully refurbished introducing a rooftop bar and restaurant boasting panoramic views of the city, a charming bakery offering artisanal delights, and a spacious events space catering to weddings, conferences, and special occasions, we provide unparalleled experiences for our guests.

What are my responsibilities?

As the Director of Beverage and Food, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing our hotel's culinary operations, ensuring the highest standards of service, quality, and innovation across all dining outlets. From managing day-to-day operations to developing strategic initiatives for revenue growth and guest satisfaction, you will lead a talented team to deliver memorable dining experiences that exceed expectations.

Education and Experience;

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Culinary Arts, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in senior B&F leadership roles within lifestyle hotels and upscale independent dining establishments, with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • Strong business acumen and financial management skills, with the ability to analyse budgets, forecast revenues, and control B&F & wage costs effectively.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
  • Creative flair and a passion for culinary innovation, with a keen understanding of current food and beverage trends and consumer preferences.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as POS systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Fluency in English; Dutch & additional language skills are desirable.

    A unique opportunity is awaiting you in the city center of one of the most dynamic markets in Europe. We are excited that the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is currently undergoing a full transformation. A major investment has been made in the hotel which will result in completely renovated guest rooms and public areas, including a brand-new bar, restaurant and rooftop bar & terrace. The hotel will expand from 402 to 500 rooms and an additional conference center will be constructed. The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel has a very high focus on sustainability and will aim to become an enhancement to the city of Amsterdam.
