IT Support Assistant

Job Description

For our office in Leidschendam we are looking for an IT Support Assistant. You are the first point of contact for IT-related services and requests and you are responsible for applying basic, limited knowledge of IT hardware and software to resolve or escalate end user issues.

Your role

  • The global IT organization is on a journey towards business focused services and streamlined operations. You partake in standardization efforts with the aim to provide better support;

  • You builds good relationships with Fugro regional stakeholders to ensure company needs are supported well. You also work well with the IT Services Support Team to ensure timely resolution or escalation to technical teams. Together with regional IT management you will ensure adoption of standards in the regional team;

  • You record and classify received Incidents and service requests and log all Incident/Service Request details, allocating categorization and prioritization codes;

  • You keep users informed about their Incidents’ status at agreed intervals and associate Incidents with other records (i.e. Incidents, Changes, Problems, Knowledge Articles, Known Errors, etc.);

  • You have knowledge of and experience with incident registration and management tools. You determine if an incident needs to be escalated according to priority and severity of the issue and you escalate potential major incidents to the corresponding lead and/or manager;

  • You escalate Incidents at risk of breaching Service Level Agreement to the Incident Coordinator.

  • Your track record

  • You have a Bachelor or mbo level 4 (A background in information technology, computer sciences or related field is preferred.

  • You have communicative IT Support / Service Desk skills in remote support, telephone support, customer service and enjoy providing IT support to end users remotely and in person;

  • You are fluent in English and Dutch. It’s a plus if you also speak/write German and/or French.
